Fernando Alonso - Exhaust Pendant

Part of an exciting ongoing collaboration between Racing Gold and Ben Rousseau, we present you with a collection of spectacular lighting installations using only F1 Championship Winning exhaust systems. 

The chandelier displayed here uses the race run exhaust from one half of Fernando Alonso’s Race and Championship winning R26 Renault F1 car of 2006.

Made from flat plate Inconel metal, these have been crafted into tubular masterpieces by hand in the U.K.

After performing and out living it's safe working life span on the race car, we hand polish the external surfaces then stove lacquer them.

Using 12v fibre optic lighting entwined with pieces of supporting F1 exotic parts from the wheel mounting systems.

The piece has been tastefully reconfigured for it's second life in a way that replicates a beautiful flow of energy captured in coloured light.

Artistically taking inspiration from the deep water jelly fish and beings that use bioluminescent light to attract pray in their natural environment.
